Evidence-based medicine has become an important item in occupational health in recent years. Several Cochrane reviews have been published in this field.
An important partner in evidence-based occupational health is the COHF – COCHRANE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH FIELD, started at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
The aims of COHF are:
• To gather evidence on the effectiveness of occupational health interventions.
• To stimulate the completion of systematic reviews on these interventions.
To reach their targets, they:
• maintain specific databases of occupational interventions and systematic reviews
• organise hand searching of occupational health journals
• have developed search strategies for finding OH studies in PubMed
• maintain a wish list of desirable systematic reviews
• organise funding for systematic reviews
• develop methodological support for occupational health review authors
• communicate with those interested in the field
After a free registration you can search their databases.
You can see an overview of systematic reviews in occupational health on the website.
