Slaughterhouse illness turns up in Nebraska man Mar 7, 2008 By NELSON LAMPE, AP: A former Nebraska pork plant worker has been diagnosed with a mysterious nerve illness that has struck slaughterhouse workers in Minnesota and Indiana.
Dr. Jennifer McQuiston, a veterinary epidemiologist who works in Atlanta for the CDC, said Friday that all the CDC’s evidence points to progressive inflammatory neuropathy as an occupationally acquired illness.
